Should I go to the Emergency Room (ER) or The MediCentral?
It can be difficult to figure out where you should go when you need medical attention. At MediCentral, our dedicated care staff can diagnose and treat many conditions, as we are fully equipped to deal with most minor and acute injuries, colds, flu, upper respiratory and other infections, skin conditions, as well as stomach and digestive issues.
You should go to the emergency room if you are experiencing: chest pain, respiratory illness, trauma or a serious head injury, stroke symptoms, lacerations, broken bones, uncontrollable bleeding, or unconsciousness.
What types of services and treatments are available?
MediCentral offers the same types of services as both traditional primary care and urgent care, including access to medical doctors and physician assistants who can help you diagnose and treat your condition. Get same-day labs when possible, test results, screenings, minor medical procedures, and care including bracing and diagnostics for sprains and injuries.
Can I get labs and tests?
Yes, MediCentral offers a full range of labs and testing. We offer same-day results when possible so that you don’t need to make multiple visits. We also use a triple-check method to ensure you’re notified about your results as soon as we know.
Can I get X-Rays and MRIs?
At this time, MediCentral is not offering X-Rays or MRIs. However, we can refer you to a professional service if we believe they’re necessary for your care.
Can I get vaccines?
Yes, MediCentral offers a full range of vaccines available same-day in most cases.
Can your team write prescriptions?
Yes, our team is happy to write and send in prescriptions for most medications.
What is the cost of urgent care?
Urgent care is traditionally less expensive than a trip to the emergency room. At MediCentral, we do even better than that to ensure you’re able to afford your care, regardless of what you come in for. We accept most forms of insurance. We also have a health care subscription model available for patients without insurance.
Do I need to make an appointment?
No, we are a walk-in facility and no appointments are required. However, if you want to set up an appointment you are guaranteed to be seen at the time of your appointment. This is one of the great things that makes us better than any traditional urgent care.
How do I know what my copay is?
Just check your insurance card and see what your PCP copay is. This is exactly what your copay at The MediCentral will be.
Are you open on weekends?
